A Refreshing Green Tea Smoothie Recipe

2 bags of green tea (the type of green tea is up to you)
1 cup of hot water
1 cup of ice
2 tbsp. of orange juice
1 banana
2 cups of strawberries
2 tbsp. of liquid honey


1 mug
1 high quality blender

How To Make the Green Tea Smoothie:

1. Brew the 2 tea bags in the cup of water until the brew is thick and opaque. The reason that you have two bags in one cup is to prevent too much dilution later in the process. A lot of other flavors are added later on and it’s important that the tea itself doesn’t get overshadowed. 2. Once the tea is brewed, place the cup in the fridge for an hour.3. Put the ice, orange juice, banana, strawberries and cooled tea into the blender and then blend until it has a slushy and smooth consistency. Make sure that all of the ice chunks are thoroughly mixed into the smoothie. 4. Pour in the liquid honey and then blend again briefly.5. Pour the contents into a cool glass and serve.

The great thing about this recipe is that it really acts as a base for other smoothie flavors. If you want a little bit of extra sweetness you can also add a few teaspoons of melted chocolate.
